International MAMA “Mother Nature” Project
Art Museum Zuzeum, Riga, Latvia
May 15 – June 15, 2026
I am deeply honored to have my painting “I Can Fly” selected as part of the internationally acclaimed MAMA “Mother Nature” project, presented at one of the Baltic region’s most prestigious cultural institutions — the Zuzeum Art Museum, located in the historic center of Riga, home to the world’s largest private collection of Latvian art, comprising nearly 30,000 pieces.
The exceptional significance of this representation includes:
A Premier Cultural Institution: Founded in 2017 by art collector and philanthropist Jānis Zuzāns, Zuzeum is a state-accredited contemporary art museum that offers audiences a space to discover and engage with contemporary Latvian and international art. To have my work exhibited within this institution is a mark of the highest artistic distinction.
Institutional Endorsement at the Highest Level: The exhibition was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Latvia, and attended by Latvia’s Minister of Health, the Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other senior government officials — underscoring the extraordinary diplomatic and cultural weight this project carries.
A Bridge Between Nations and Cultures: Jānis Zuzāns, founder of the Zuzeum Art Museum, noted that the exhibition would help strengthen artistic ties between the two countries, promote Azerbaijan in Latvia, and draw attention to global environmental issues. My work forms part of this vital cultural bridge.
A Globally Traveling Cultural Force: The project was first introduced at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku in 2024 as part of COP29, and has since evolved into a traveling international platform presented in major cultural capitals including Manama, Rome, London, Tbilisi, Berlin, and Tirana. Riga represents yet another prestigious chapter in this remarkable global journey.
Distinguished Leadership: Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Latvia, Elnur Sultanov, expressed deep gratitude to Leyla Aliyeva for her support in implementing the project in Latvia. Being part of a project conceived and championed by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, reflects the exceptional caliber of artists chosen for this initiative.
A Truly Global Artistic Dialogue: The MAMA “Mother Nature” project brings together artists from 31 countries, including Azerbaijan, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil, South Korea, Georgia, India, Spain, Israel, Pakistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and others, calling through art to protect our planet for future generations. My painting “I Can Fly” stands among this distinguished international community of voices.
Exclusive International Representation: As the sole representative from Serbia in this edition of the project, this participation is a powerful mark of international recognition — both of my artistic vision and of my commitment to the global environmental dialogue through art.
This participation represents one of the most significant milestones of my artistic career — placing my work within a landmark international project that unites art, culture, diplomacy, and ecological responsibility, exhibited at one of the most respected art institutions in the Baltic region.
